This past weekend, we were elated to officially introduce THE PASSIONS PROJECT, a photographic exhibition featuring older adults from Lakewood, including the Village at Belmar, highlighting the art of living with passion and purpose. Working in partnership with the University of Denver’s Knoebel Institute for Healthy Aging and The Alameda Corridor Business Improvement District we will be sharing this incredible exhibition from nationally-recognized photographer Heidi Wagner that captures the essence of older adults doing what they love to do – from painting, to theater, to community service – to show a new view of aging and the importance of living with passion and purpose, making visible what is often unseen; a new view of aging that includes vitality, independence and meaning.
The Opening Reception, free to the public, is June 24 from 4 – 6 p.m. at the Davis Gallery in the University of Denver’s School of Art and Art History Shwayder Art Building (2121 E. Asbury Ave.). For more information or to RSVP for the Opening Reception email: davisgallery@du.edu. Following the opening reception, the exhibition will be on view by appointment through August 14, 2022.
