Dear Village at Belmar Community,
We wanted to provide an update regarding the testing that is underway as a result of the positive associate that we reported to you last Wednesday. As of today, we have received the test results for the majority of the Memory Care residents, who were tested first and all results have been negative so far. We are waiting on 2 more test results from Memory Care as well as the test results from the remaining assisted living residents and associates.
Memory Care outdoor visits remain on hold until we have two weeks of negative testing. Window visits will be conducted in place of the outdoor visits. Continued outdoor visitation, resident free travel throughout the community with social distancing and small group activities with social distancing will still be permitted in assisted living. We are also excited and gearing up to re-open the dining room on Monday, September 28th.
We do not have any other symptomatic or positive residents or associates. We will send out further communication once we have test results, hopefully later this week. We had an Indoor Visitation Planning team meeting which also included our Medical Consultant, Dr. Gagandeep Singh, last Friday and will be sharing communication with all of you regarding our plan for beginning indoor visitation in the coming weeks.
If you have any further questions, please reach out to Village at Belmar’s Interim Executive Director, Jeanne Barnard, the Vice President of Operations for Ascent Living Communities.
