Dear Village at Belmar Community,
We wanted to provide an update to all of you regarding our community Covid-19 status. Over the weekend we received a positive test result on a Memory Care resident. This brings the total number of Memory Care Covid-19 positive residents to four with three being cared for at the community by the Staffing Bubble team and one still being treated at the hospital. The Covid-19 positive associate reported on Friday continues to recover at home.
We have been doing continuous testing this weekend and plan to continue this during the week to ensure that we are immediately aware of any additional residents or associates who may be positive but asymptomatic. We will provide updates to you throughout the week and will also keep the Hotline updated.
All outdoor visitation for the community continues to be on hold and we will conduct window visits for both Assisted Living and Memory Care. The Assisted Living dining room will remain closed and residents are being encouraged to remain in their apartments unless they are being escorted to participate in a window visit with the proper PPE. We are narrowing the definition of allowable essential workers and will only be giving access in emergent situations, as determined by the clinical team and Executive Director of the community.
We have been in continued close communication with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) and Jefferson County Health Department and are following their direction and protocols, as well as those of our Medical Consultant, Dr. Gagandeep Singh. We have a large PPE order being shipped to ensure that we are prepared for any needs that arise.
Please remember that you can always check our Hotline for regular updates and those can be heard at (720) 545-0363.
If you have any further questions, please reach out to Village at Belmar’s Executive Director, Rebecca Norris, at (303) 351-5455.
Sincerely,
Tom & Susie Finley – Founder and Principal
