Dear Village at Belmar Community,
We continue in outbreak testing with two residents and one associate testing positive. One resident is currently asymptomatic and on isolation while the other is symptomatic, on isolation and will receive treatment using Paxlovid. We will continue testing twice a week Monday and Thursday. Thank you for your patience in this process.
This outbreak has been continuing for several weeks now with one positive or even a few weeks where we had zero positives. We continue to strive to adhere to guidance from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, for the most part, this has minimized transmission from resident to resident and associate to resident. Regular testing is a part of the effort to prevent this type of transmission. We greatly appreciate everyone’s cooperation with testing and following all guidance.
There is another variation of the COVID virus that is even more transmissible and is rapidly spreading across the Denver area. For this reason, we need to maintain vigilance to prevent the spread of the virus. Please do not visit if you are not feeling well for any reason. If you are aware of being exposed, please do not visit for 10 days after your exposure.
All residents need to continue to wear a mask when out of their apartment. This is very important.
Any residents that are not up to date with their vaccination and boosters must rapid test daily. Residents that are not up to date must quarantine for 8 days if they leave the community for more than 24 hours. These restrictions may be motivation for many to become up to date which is easily done. Please reach out to myself or Angela if you want to confirm whether you are up to date or if you have any questions. We can also assist you in finding a location to receive a booster if needed.
Thank you so much for your patience and understanding. If you have any further questions, please reach out to me, Beth Williams, Interim Executive Director, at 303-351-5455 or Beth@ascentlc.com.
Warm Regards,
Beth Williams, Interim Executive Director
