Dear Village at Belmar Community,
We are writing to inform you that we have had two additional associates test positive for COVID-19. Both associates are symptomatic and recovering at home. Based on the nature of their positions, residents in Assisted Living have been exposed. According to guidance from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), any residents who have been exposed must quarantine for 14 days regardless of vaccination status. This means that these residents must remain in their apartment, and refrain from having visitors or going out into the community.
According to guidance from the state, we will continue with outbreak testing which means we will be testing all residents and associates twice weekly. In addition, we will be testing exposed residents and associates using the rapid, antigen test on a daily basis. Thank you so much for your cooperation with this process.
The Delta variant of COVID has been found to be highly transmissible and is dramatically increasing cases across the country and in Colorado. For this reason, we encourage all residents, again, to wear a mask when outside of their apartments just as our associates are continuing to do. This is a simple thing which has shown to be very effective in protection from COVID.
As always, we continue to be in close communication with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) and Jefferson County Health Department and are following their guidelines, direction, and protocols around COVID-19.
We urge all residents to continue to limit contact with any individuals, groups, or large crowds, of those who have not received their full COVID-19 vaccine.
If you have any further questions, please reach out to Village at Belmar’s Executive Director, Rebecca Norris, at (303) 351-5455.
