Dear Village at Belmar Community,
We are writing because we have an additional associate who has tested positive for COVID-19. This associate received their first dose of the vaccine and was scheduled for the second dose. The associate is asymptomatic and is isolated at home.
Because we have had another person test positive, we must continue with outbreak testing which means we will be testing all residents and associates tomorrow and Thursday. If we have no additional positive tests, then we will test once again next week. At this time, we do not need to close the dining room or discontinue activities for vaccinated residents. However, according to direction from the state, residents who are unvaccinated cannot eat in the dining room or participate in group activities. Additionally, unvaccinated residents may not have indoor visitors, but are free to visit their guests outdoors or via Facetime or Skype.
As always, we continue to be in close communication with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) and Jefferson County Health Department and are following their guidelines, direction, and protocols around COVID-19.
We understand that the ongoing changes due to COVID-19 and the Delta variant can be confusing and urge you to each out to us with any related questions.
We urge all residents to continue to limit contact with any individuals, groups, or large crowds, of those who have not received their full COVID-19 vaccine.
If you have any further questions, please reach out to Village at Belmar’s Executive Director, Rebecca Norris, at (303) 351-5455.
