Dear Village at Belmar Community,
We wanted to provide an update to you regarding the testing of the residents as a result of the contact tracing that was done against the positive associate we reported to you on June 16th. As of this morning, we have received 141 results back from our resident testing and all results are negative for COVID-19. We are waiting on 8 more results and anticipate having those back in the next few days. We had reported to you that the associate who tested positive was hospitalized and we are very pleased to report that this individual is doing much better and recovering at home.
Additionally, as a part of our 8-week testing period of all associates at the community we will be conducting testing on Tuesday and Thursday this week. As a reminder, this testing period has been recommended by the State of Colorado for all senior living communities and we voluntarily requested to be one of the first to receive the state’s supplies to start this process.
We thank you all for your continued patience and understanding during this difficult and uncertain time. We will continue to update you on this situation as additional pertinent information comes available, and we will continue to work diligently to keep of our community safe and healthy.
If you have any further questions, please reach out to Village at Belmar’s Executive Director, Michael Ruback.
